*Many ask about the benefits of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Synthetic sapphire is superior because it's highly durable, shatter-resistant, and scratch-proof, making it especially popular with military, security personnel, police, and outdoor enthusiasts, who form over 70% of our customer base. Over 90% of cracked crystal incidents we see involve mineral glass, even though we use hardened mineral glass for durability. Sapphire’s strength comes from a heat treatment during manufacturing, which removes internal stresses that could cause weakness. Additionally, sapphire crystals are coated with two layers of anti-reflective material. It’s worth noting that sapphire glass is even used in the latest iPhones. Though more expensive, sapphire is typically reserved for higher-end watches.
